Guatemala sinkhole
admin on June 1st, 2010
The new Guatemala sinkhole is very popular today in the news.
The Guatemala Government released a picture of the new sinkhole, which looks as creepy as it sounds.
This sinkhole, measuring 66 feet wide and about 100 deep swallowed a three-story building, a clothing factory, but nobody was injured.
Now geologists are planning to fill this hole with lodocreto (a combination of cement lime and water).
But the creepiest, in my opinion, is the 2007 Guatemala sinkhole.
(unfortunately 3 lives were lost then).
See the pictures below.

How you fix something like this.

yeah, how are they gonna fill it up? I’ve also wondered what happened to the first one in 2007, how does it look today? What’s the update?

Good question, Brian.
They probably filled it in, I imagine it was very expensive.
What I can’t imagine is why people haven’t moved yet from that location. I know I would

After seeing that, I would have been like SEE-YA!
